ABOUT

WHO I AM

I'm a communication arts professional with fifteen years experience. My career has been varied and a little exciting (sometimes). After earning my BFA in fine arts, I quickly found my career directed to graphics and print design. With a background in illustration, my goal is to make sure my designs are grounded on principles of clear communication.

WHAT I'VE DONE

I've designed for nationally recognized brands, created interactive presentations for federal agencies, planned exhibits & marketing for museums, created books & catalogs for international publishers, and helped manage campaigns for a nonprofit hospital system. I've designed almost everything in print and digital, from business cards to billboards, and from museum exhibits to responsive websites.

WHAT I DO

I design with one simple goal: communication. The viewer should not need to struggle for understanding. Graphics should be pleasing, copy should be clear, and information should be easily accessible to all audiences. To that end, the best design is not disruptive or gaudy; it is nearly invisible. Put another way, a designer is like the stagehand that makes the show possible. That's me.
